How do Artist Get Paid
How do Artist Get Paid
Updated over 2 weeks ago

At CouchConcerts, we ensure that artists receive 100% of the donations and earnings from their performances. There are three primary revenue streams for artists, each handled differently:

  • Donations Made Ahead of Time (Platform Donations):

Guests make donations on the platform to reserve their spot at the show. These donations are processed through CouchConcerts and paid directly to the artist on the Monday following the show. Payments are made to Artists via Venmo or Zelle, so please ensure your payment details are included in your artist profile.

  • Donations Made During the Show (In-Person Donations):

Guests are encouraged to make additional donations at the show itself. These donations go directly to the artist and are not handled or processed by the platform. Artists may collect in-person donations via a tip jar, cash, or electronic payment methods like Venmo or other QR codes.

  • Merchandise Sales:

If you bring merchandise to sell at the show, you keep 100% of the proceeds. Merchandise sales are handled directly by the artist. Work with the host to set up a small, visible table for your merchandise near the performance or entrance area.

By handling platform donations efficiently and leaving in-person donations entirely to the artist, CouchConcerts ensures that you maximize your earnings while maintaining control over your performance's financial success.
